TungKuLa has launched Spiral Air Jet Mill - TSJ Series
TungKuLa spiral air jet mill TSJ Series can produce particles ranging from 1 to 30 microns as the final product. Its features include simple operation, excellent cleanliness, and very few rotating parts.
Advantages
Ø Achieves a good particle size distribution in a single pass, and is particularly suitable for the deagglomeration of ultrafine powders (see the deagglomeration principle in the final paragraph of this article).
Ø Rich configurations, capable of grinding sticky/high-hardness materials.
Ø High grinding efficiency and extremely low product loss.
Ø Enables precise reproduction from R&D to production scale.
Ø Production equipment fully operates through PLC control for automatic operation.
Ø Pilot units and production systems can implement WIP/CIP/SIP.
Ø Meets the requirements of high containment for highly active pharmaceuticals.
Ø Meets the sterile grinding production requirements for aseptic drugs.
Ø Complies with ATEX directives in hazardous areas (fully compliant with 1/21 zones).
Scope of Application
Ø Suitable for grinding high-end pharmaceuticals and fine chemical products, especially for applications with high precision and purity requirements for the final product.
Ø Suitable for cathode materials used in secondary batteries without metal contamination.
Ø Maximum raw material feed particle size is approximately 1.5mm, and product particle size can reach D97=5~100μm.
Ø Used for laboratory purposes, with a minimum processing quantity of 10g.
Ø TJS-50: Suitable for laboratory use.
Ø The TJS-50 is a small desktop machine specially developed for laboratories for the research and production of new drugs.
Ø This structure is easy to clean and disinfect, and can be correspondingly scaled up to larger production-scale models.
Ø All surfaces of this model that come into contact with the product are treated with a mirror finish (Ra=0.4μm), suitable for small-scale production in biopharmaceuticals and fine foods.
Deagglomeration Principle
TungKuLa TSJ-50 Spiral Jet Mill is highly suitable for the deagglomeration of ultrafine powders.
In the TSJ-50 chamber, the material is continuously accelerated, and its overall movement trajectory forms a spiral pattern. Agglomerated particles and fine particles have different masses. Agglomerated particles, due to their larger mass, experience greater centrifugal force during the spiral motion and are thrown to the outer edge of the spiral. There, they collide with other agglomerated particles, leading to deagglomeration. This process satisfies the production capabilities of CIP and SIP.
Fine particles, being less affected by centrifugal force, are drawn away from the center of the spiral, thus separating from the agglomerated particles.
This ensures that agglomerated particles are continuously impacted and deagglomerated at the edges, while the dispersed fine particles are consistently removed.
The entire deagglomeration process occurs through collisions among the material itself, without the involvement of other grinding media. Therefore, there is no contamination of the material, preserving its purity.
The discharged material is the final product, and there is no need to remove impurities in subsequent steps.
